Guitar Sides

Pure Timber manufactures Cold-Bend™ tonewood for use in guitar sides. These sides are bent cold, by hand, without steam. Our thick, solid wood sides were developed to take advantage of thick walls in acoustic guitars. The thick walls help in three different ways. First, they may be thick enough that linings are not needed. Second, the sides are stiff without bracing. And third, all sound is directed to the sound board, and not lost by thinner sides that may act like a baffle or bellows.

Sold in pairs, book matched or end matched. 5" x 36" x .250. Other sizes on request. Species: Walnut, Satin Walnut (Red Gum), Sycamore (Lacewood), Cherry, Maple, Ash, Red Oak, White Oak.
